UDig Named as One of the 2022 Best Places to Work in Virginia

Richmond, VA | February 1, 2022

Tech consulting firm UDig was recently named a 2022 Best Place to Work in Virginia, cementing its reputation as a desirable employer. The company has received this recognition two years in a row and four times, overall.

“We want every employee to feel respected and be able to pursue a life and career that are meaningful to them,” says Founder and CEO Andy Frank. “I think people respect that we treat them as human beings, and we trust them in any scenario. During the pandemic, this commitment has become an even greater asset.”

At UDig, employees are empowered to do work that makes a difference and build fulfilling personal lives. Each person has the flexibility and freedom to do what matters to them.

“We have always prioritized transparency and communication,” explains Executive Vice President Gordon Kelly. “We try to be as open and communicative as possible, and I think that focus is incredibly important.”

Employees can work remotely or in-person, whichever style they prefer. The company doesn’t require a mandatory number of days or hours that they must work, either. As long as employees complete their work goals and responsibilities, leadership trusts each person to manage their schedules in the ways they need. Frank and Kelly believe that these workplace traits have been key factors driving their company to be a great place to work in Virginia.
